Q – What is the Board Couture Movement all about? Can I be part of it?
A – The Board Couture Movement is happening right now, its why we exist and what we live for. It’s the coming together of shapers from around the world to have a united voice in raising awareness of our industry and the beautiful, high quality hand crafted products we are producing.
As individual shapers and artists our brands are drowned out by large corporate marketing budgets and its hard to have our single voice heard, but together we have the advantage of showcasing our superior soul filled products in a manor we hope will make you stop, and take notice of the hand shaping industry. United by our craft and with quality, humanity and uniqueness to our advantage we strive to take back the skateboard making industry and restore it to its DIY roots.
Support a hand shaper today, find a unique deck you love, put it in your shopping cart and become part of the Board Couture Movement.

Q – What does “Board Couture” mean?
A – “Couture” is most commonly used in the clothing design industry as reference to one off original hand made items, the term “Haute Couture” is defined as “The designing and making of high-quality fashionable clothes by leading fashion houses.”
We felt that described the nature of the hand shaping industry and “Board Couture” which leads to it best defined as “The designing and making of high-quality functional art skateboards by leading hand shapers.”
Q – How long will it take to get my board?
A – That is relative to where you live v where the shaper is located. On average you are looking at 1 x week expected delivery and at some times of the year it can take longer. Tracking numbers are recorded and available on request.
Q - Each hand shaped deck is unique, so will the deck I see in the photo be the one I receive?
A – Yes, you will receive the deck in the images provided. The shaper will upload new images of each new deck as it is finished and ready for sale.
Q – What are your payment methods
A – We use Pay Pal as our preferred method of payment providing you the ultimate in security and ease of use. You can use your credit card through our PayPal portal without signing up if you are not a Pay pal member.
Q – I want to be a shaper, but don’t know where to get started.
A – Excellent decision, send us an email and we will do our best to point you in the right direction.
Q – Whats the difference between a deck and a complete?
A – When you select “deck” you are looking for and or buying the deck only, when you select “complete” you are getting the deck, wheels, trucks, bearings and hardware complete ready to ride. The shapers will indicate what brands they are stoking with all completes.
Q – Can I get the boards that are deck only as a complete?
A – it will depend on the shaper, but in most cases yes it is possible. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Q – Board Couture Store is?
A – A lot of different elements involving a variety of people, best and simply described as “Shaper owned and operated. Designed to bring the worlds best hand shapers together under one roof.”
Q – Are all your decks hand made or do you take machine made but hand painted decks from artists?
A – Sorry, We only sell hand shaped or reshaped/recycled skateboards. Whilst we dig the idea of original art decks, if the board has not been hand shaped with love before hand painted with love we can’t sell them. If you are an artist looking to collaborate with a hand shaper please email email@example.com and we can help connect you with local shapers.
